In order to choose our fonts we created a word document and trailed a range of fonts until we found one that was suitable and helped convey the phycological thriller genre. In the end we went for impact as it suited the story line of our film as it looks almost like a news headline and this links to our narrative of a school shooting. It also is very similar to the film 'elephant' which I have researched and they used a font similar to impact and it is very effective.
I have used the impact font throughout all of my media texts to help synergise my trailer which also allows the audience to recognise my poster and magazine and link it to the film. This will more than likely make them want to go and see the film.

Planning- Target audience audio clip
USP and Target Audience Script
I decided to write a script to explain my USP and target audience for my trailer and upload it to youtube. I used a voice recorder to record this and I also used photoshop to edit the clips together so it all flowed smoothly
SCRIPT: Our target audience will be interested in current affairs and
psychological events that occur in real life. Audiences would view these events
across the news and social media which are therefore platforms we can also use
to promote our film.
We think that both males and females will be interested in watching our film, as males conventionally enjoy watching action packed films featuring weapons and violence. But females will also be able to relate as it is based on realism as it’s not just a male sport.
Middles class people would be an expected group who would enjoy our film as they’re likely to use their disposable income to purchase cinema tickets. They can also relate to the key message portrayed in the film as they can potentially be in this situation. They are also likely to be a part of a large family and would sympathies with the venerable children in the school.
Young adults will be our target audience as they’re most likely to enjoy the realism and suspension of the film. Young adults are also most likely to visit the cinema in the evening which is a typical viewing time for thrillers as it adds to the overall terrifying experience.
White British people would be most attracted as they can identify with the main protagonist more as he is also of a white background. However students and young adults won’t have the income so the cinema is a cheap activity for them to anticipate for the evening and weekends. They will also enjoy the built up suspension in the film more.

Planning- Phycological Thriller Posters
I have researched into some existing Phycological Thriller Posters to help me to identify the key conventions and features of the posters so when we make our own we will know what to include.

During the making of my poster, I will link back to my research of other phycological thriller posters and use a dark eery colour scheme. I am also going to include large image of our main character with a balaclava on his face which represents the hidden identity theme shown throughout our trailer. I have also decided to use a pop of red in my poster to signify danger, however I will have to do this carefully so it doesn't get mixed up with the horror genre.

Planning- Cast Change
Cast Change
During our filming our main character 'Fraser Smalley' who was the gun man in our trailer backed out due to other commitments which unfortunately which left us no decision but to find another main actor. After trying hard to find another actor to fit the perfect role in our film we did some internal recruitment. We are now using one of our team members to play the part so it doesn't delay our filming anymore.
We had to pick an actor that would fit the role of our character perfectly, however we also improvised and used a balaclava to cover Joe's face to further connote the genre of physiological thriller and to help make the character more mysterious to cover his the identity which is a typical stereotype of a villain.

Planning- Sound
To find a soundtrack and sound effects for our film we found it difficult to find pieces of music that we wouldn't get in trouble for copyrighting songs. We overcome this problem by sourcing our very own a level music student called Ben Stacey who is putting together a sound track for us to include in our film so we can be as original as possible. As a group we put together ideas of what genre of music we would like to include in our trailer to make it as realistic and eerie as possible to help set the scene. We let Ben know that we wanted a track that is suitable for our plot and genre whilst building intensity throughout which we could synchronize the editing with.
Towards the end of our film we are also going to have a gun shot sound at the very end to show the gunshot without us having to fire the gun. It is going to show the mysterious antagonist get the gun out the bag and slowly rise it and then suddenly it will cut to black and you will hear a gun shot. We will use a gun shot sound effect from sound cloud or sound bible as these are both free music apps where you can source sounds from.
